Port Jervis is a village with about 8,800 inhabitants in Orange County, New York.


From late spring to early fall, many thousands of travelers and tourists pass through Port Jervis on their way to enjoying rafting, kayaking, canoeing and other activities in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area and the Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River and the surrounding area.

Metro-North[dead link] operates a commuter rail service from Hoboken, on the eponymous Port Jervis Line.

  • 2 Deerpark Reformed Church, 30 E Main St. Organized in 1737, this is one oldest congregation in the area. The current building dates from 1838.

  • 4 Erie Railroad Roundhouse Turntable, 78 Pike St (parking lot). The largest functioning rail turntable, originally a part of the Erie railroad.


  • 1 John Kucher Memorial Promenade, 12-14 Jersey Ave (on Front St.). 24/7. A promenade with many amenities such as a fountain, benches, and bike racks. It is named after John Kucher, a local business owner who was killed in a robbery in 2014.

  • 1 Fox N Hare Brewing Co, 46 Front St, +18456720100. A local brewery and bar opened on Front St. in 2017, known for their drinks and bar food.
