The Shuswap is in British Columbia Canada.

Other destinations[edit]

The Shuswap is defined by the four-armed lake of the same name. The region offers unlimited opportunities for cottaging, camping, and boating/watersports. The town of Sicamous proudly declares itself the 'houseboat capital of Canada'.

Get in[edit]

Get around[edit]

  • Craigellachie (pro. cray-gull-ah-key) is home of the 'last spike' in the Canadian Pacific Railway's transcontinental line.

  • Rent a houseboat

Stay safe[edit]

As the Shuswap is 90% Provincial Park and undeveloped, there is almost zero chance of being robbed while camping/house boating. The same goes for the bigger cities like Salmon Arm.

Go next[edit]

This region travel guide to Shuswap is an outline and may need more content. It has a template, but there is not enough information present. If there are Cities and Other destinations listed, they may not all be at usable status or there may not be a valid regional structure and a "Get in" section describing all of the typical ways to get here. Please plunge forward and help it grow!
