Southern Pines is a city in North Carolina. It began as a resort for northerners, especially equestrian hobbyists.

Southern Pines is accessible by road and rail. The most common way to arrive Southern Pines is via U.S. Route 1 in Moore County.

By train[edit]

Southern Pines also has an Amtrak Station along Amtrak's Silver Star line. The station is located in the center of the city's historic downtown area.
