Southfield is a suburban city in Oakland County, in the Metro Detroit region of Michigan. It is one of Metro Detroit's major suburban commercial and business centers. Inside of Southfield is the enclave city of Lathrup Village.

Metro Detroit's first suburban shopping center, opened in 1954 and built by the once-mighty Hudson's department store chain. Hudson's is, of course, long gone, and the mall has definitely seen better days. It is currently anchored by Macy's and Target.
