I realise that the background for the page is here, but I don't think we should have separate articles for different airlines. We should have an article about frequent flyer programmes which can contain details about the FFPs of different airlines, and details about the airlines should go into an article like air travel in North America, or something like that. Airport Articles?

[edit]

Why don't we have articles for the specific airports like Wikipedia does? They also have separate articles for separate airlines per the last comment so I think that should remain the same. (WT-en) QualityControl3533 01:15, 12 August 2008 (EDT)

Retrieve deleted airline articles

Hi! As we've recently had a slight softening on our airline article policy (they're now grouped together - see Airlines in the United States), is there any chance that we could recover some of the articles that were recently deleted? I note that both Lufthansa and Delta Airlines (although the latter is being very nicely recreated by PerryPlanet) were removed in January; could we get them (and any other quality deleted articles) back somehow? --Nick (talk) 15:58, 8 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

The deleted Delta page had nothing salvageable—just weird first person commentary. I moved the Lufthansa page to your userspace. --Peter Talk 16:58, 8 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
Thanks very much! I'll see what can be salvaged! --Nick (talk) 17:13, 8 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Merge to Flying

[edit]

By placing the template on this page I am fulfilling what was discussed and agreed at Talk:Flying#Organizing flying-related articles. Please do discuss that there, if you want to, to keep the discussion in one place.

Let me also explain that although there is quite a bit of content in this article, I find very little if anything worth merging into Flying. I do believe most of it is already covered by either relevant destination articles, other articles on flying, or Wikipedia. Feel free to propose merging selected content into other articles or Wikipedia, or better yet plunge forward and do it. Otherwise, the merger would constitute merely turning this article into a redirect to Flying. PrinceGloria (talk) 01:40, 30 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

This is the last article in this series that was not deleted yet. This is mostly because it is vast and thus not easy to handle. I am not quite what, if any, information from this article should be moved and where to. Any suggestions? Or is it all pretty much redundant on Wikivoyage (we've got Wikipedia for fact-collection), so we do not have to worry about it and we can just make it a redirect to Flying? Yeah... I can't really think where it would fit, especially now that we've got rid of other similar articles. The only suggestion I would make is to redirect it to United States of America#By plane rather than to Flying. --Nick talk 21:10, 2 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
