Talk:Alexandroupolis
Merge
[edit]I have merged all contents of Alexandropolis and Alexandroupoli articles, which are clearly about the same one city and both of which were tagged with {{merge}} (with each other) for a long time, into this article. This version of the name is the most common according to an English language-only search in Google. Here is how many hits the versions get:
- Alexandroupolis 131,000
- Alexandropolis 53,200
- Alexandroupoli 48,300
- Alexandropoli 3,570
Having said that, I wouldn't oppose a move if any local or native English speaker thinks this isn't exactly the most "correct"/common name in English.—(WT-en) Vidimian 15:53, 15 February 2010 (EST)
Rooms to let for how long?
[edit]I'm moving this listing here, because for the life of me, I can't see on their website how long they let these rooms for, nor what their rates are:
- 1 Thalassa Hotel & Apartments, 2nd km of Alexandroupoli - Makri Road, ☏ +30 25510 87120, +30 25510 26459. Rooms to let.
I'd like to emphasize that Wikivoyage is not an apartment-listing service. Only if this place rents for 2 weeks or less can it be listed, and I find the lack of listed rates a sharp trading practice for any country in which bargaining for hotel rates isn't normally expected.
