A recent edit made this part of the topic "natural attractions", which I do not think fits at all. Sure they might look interesting from 10 000 feet, but up close they tend to be rather undesirable and unpleasant and quite often human activity causes or exacerbates them, leading in the worst case to anoxic events, which stink, literally and figuratively.
