nearby villages

I i still think that deleting those villages makes the guide less useful. This park is in a rural area with nothing inside. not even the information point or the tourist offices. All services are in those litlle villages.
I read the "Wikivoyage:Park article template" an there it says: "If there are viable lodging options located OUTSIDE (but nearby) the park, consider mentioning those as well."
Those villages are in the Park Buffer zone, an area which has not the same level of protection but whre some rules apply for park conservation. Mmorell (talk) 16:59, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
- I tried to come up with a satisfying solution. You can always disagree and propose elsewise at Wikivoyage talk:Park article template. Ibaman (talk) 17:06, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
- Your solution works. I could entertain an argument for putting that information in "Understand" if anyone felt it was essential to put it higher in the article. However, places outside the park cannot be a list of "Cities" or the equivalent. I think probably the ideal solution is to create a "Nearby" section before "Go next" and move them there. I believe "Nearby" is an optional (though usually unused) section in any destination article. Ikan Kekek (talk) 17:21, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
- I still haven't found the rule you apply. I readed twice the template. Can you be more specific, and explain me the rule??? Mmorell (talk) 18:59, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
- please, with sugar and cherries on top, consider the Wikivoyage:Geographical hierarchy policy, and particularly the Wikivoyage:Geographical hierarchy#Dividing geographical units part. I subscribe to the vision that articles must describe things INSIDE their geographical boundaries, and it would be untidy, off-WV:Goals and non-goals and off-wycsi to include things AROUND them. - I'been thinking and I realized that probably you don't have the context. So let me briefly explain. I never have been on this park. I just saw the page in the spanish wikivoyage and thought i will be easy to translate. And so I did. Then, as i always do, i started documenting myself, to improve the page. To do so i used this oficial guide of the park: https://www.miteco.gob.es/content/dam/miteco/es/parques-nacionales-oapn/red-parques-nacionales/parques-nacionales/Guia-cabaneros_tcm30-63405.pdf
- In this guide, explains the role that surrounding villages play. It uses near 20 pages covering that.
- So , I didn't include them because I want it, but because the rulers of the park think it's important to do so, as they did in the extens guide they wrote.
- I included the whole villages as services points. I don't have the knowledge to find specific restaurant, bed&breakfast etc. in every single place and locate them in the sections the rules says.
- Said so, you decide if they shoud stay or not. Mmorell (talk) 07:17, 7 September 2023 (UTC)
