This is sounding a lot more like a travel brochure than a travel guide. I was originally suspicious that it was copied from somewhere, but Google doesn't seem to be locating any of the key phrases. What's the deal? --(WT-en) Evan 14:53, 28 Jan 2004 (EST)

You were correct, but your google-fu was weak: try [1]. 207.134.56.158 15:33, 20 Feb 2006 (EST)

Took out Christy Estates under Sleep as they no longer have hotel spa suites, just regular long term apartments. —The preceding comment was added by 76.16.70.27 (talkcontribs) 22:46, 22 July 2011

Photos with the photographer's name on them[edit]

This article is unusual in having a bunch of photos with the photographer's name on them. I've seen that other users like User:Texugo routinely remove such images from Wikivoyage articles, but I don't know where there's a page showing that such photos are preferably not used in this guide. Should we try to find substitutes for the remaining photographs with names on them? Ikan Kekek (talk) 09:50, 2 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know if that policy is written down anywhere, but I also thought it looked out of place having a guy's name all over the photos. –Thatotherpersontalkcontribs 10:33, 2 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Looking at the image in question, it should be within the license to create a new picture with the lowest 5% cut off. Just as long as attribution is maintained in the new image's page on WikiMedia. --Andrewssi2 (talk) 11:27, 2 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
There were 4 such images until I deleted the one in "Go next"; now there are 3. Ikan Kekek (talk) 20:31, 2 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I was wrong: There were 5, and now there are 3. There just are not enough good photos of Corpus Christi - particularly these subjects - on Commons. Someone who knows the city well (I've never been there) might decide to replace some of the images in question with photos of other subjects - or to cut the name off, as Andrewssi2 suggests.
