Interesting article concerning recent & upcoming changes for this destination: BBC-Bangladesh's Cox’s Bazar: A paradise being lost?. AHeneen (talk) 04:01, 27 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Longest beach?[edit]

Currently, the article has two statements that contradict each other:

Cox's Bazar has the longest sea beach in the world, 120 km (75 miles) long.
30 km south is Inani Beach, the world's longest and widest with over 100 miles of unbroken sand.

Web search for "longest beach" turns up a site that puts Cox's Bazar third overall but "the world’s longest ‘natural sand’ beach". It also mentions three parts of the beach, Inani and two others that we don't mention.

Do we have a volunteer who knows the area & can fix this? If nobody pops up, I'll try but I think there's considerable risk I'd get it wrong. Pashley (talk) 12:28, 8 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I did edit, but it still seems likely someone else could improve it. Pashley (talk) 15:34, 8 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Removal[edit]

I removed this:

It had been in this article a few years without anyone creating the district article & I'm not sure a district article is needed anyway. Pashley (talk) 15:28, 30 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
