The market that is listed is 220 km away in Bauchi. Is there a market in Dambam that could benlisted instead? Which is the closest airport? Let's list that one, and leave out the others. Iscthere any other information that can be provided about this town? Places to stay and eat, for example? Ground Zero (talk) 14:26, 25 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Damban or Dambam

[edit]

Should the article be Damban or Dambam? Maps generally show Dambam. Dambam also gets slightly more links on Google than Damban. Possibly the town is Dambam and the local government area is Damban. AlasdairW (talk) 16:35, 26 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

The two articles were created by different Nigerian editors. I merged them into Damban to match the name of the Wikipedia article, but we can change it if local experts think it should ge Dambam. (The text of the Wikipedia article uses "Dambam", so even Wikipedia is confused.) Ground Zero (talk) 17:25, 26 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Grace789, Atibrarian: which is the most common spelling: Damban or Dambam? Ground Zero (talk) 13:38, 28 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
Good day, it is Dambam THANKS. Grace789 (talk) 15:49, 28 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
@AlasdairW, Ground Zero: The correct spelling is Damban and not Dambam. The Wikipedia article title is Damban however, in the text of the article is "Dambam" which is a typographical error on the part of the editor. The spelling on the Nigeria Directory website on the list of Local Government Area in Bauch State is Damban see [Bauchi State]. —The preceding comment was added by Atibrarian (talkcontribs) 16:29, 28 December 2021
