Are there any sources to back up the claim of paramilitary groups?

- If you do a basic web search, you'll find a lot of articles about militia activity in 2016 and 2020, but you might consider [https://www.opb.org/article/2023/03/28/far-right-extremists-government-oregon-washington-idaho/ this article] from 2023. Of course right-wing extremism goes beyond Eastern Oregon, but that is generally quite a right-wing area. If you drive through, you'll see Confederate flags. - How unsafe is it really for a non-white visitor? I've travelled to rural areas of red states like Idaho and Louisiana and never encountered any problems. The most I got were stares and some extra questioning out of curiosity as the locals rarely had the chance to interact with visitors from Asia. The dog2 (talk) 19:17, 29 May 2024 (UTC)
