Where does this belong?[edit]
We have Gulangyu which is tagged to merge with Xiamen/Gulang Yu which was moved here because "Xiamen is not a huge city." Obviously, there should be only one article, but where?
The Xiamen city gov't site [1] makes "Gulangyu" one word, and so does the best-known expat-written guide [2], so I think we should do the same.
I'd say it should be at Xiamen/Gulangyu. X is not a huge city, population around two million which is small for China. However, it has a natural district structure; most of it is on Xiamen island, but Gulangyu is a separate island (pop. 15,000) and there are two substantial suburbs (a few 100,000 at a guess) on the mainland. - I have done the merge at Gulangyu and will make both the others redirect there. If we later decide to move it to Xiamen/Gulangyu, that would be OK with me. Pashley (talk) 13:31, 17 November 2012 (UTC)
