Talk:Hitchhiking boats

I suspect "Atlantic Race Crossing" is actually supposed to be Atlantic Ralley for Cruisers, commonly called ARC which is by far the largest event for sailing across the Atlantic with other yachts. I am not aware of anything called Atlantic Race Crossing, but I did not make this edit just in case such a thing does exist that I was unaware of.

Questions[edit]

  1. Should the title be Hitchhiking by boat or Hitchhiking on boats rather than Hitchhiking boats?
  2. Could someone please write a paragraph long introduction summarising the article's intent.

Merge?[edit]

Should this be merged into Cruising on small craft? Pashley (talk) 21:18, 16 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Import of material from Wikitravel[edit]

As well as re-organising and copy editing this article this afternoon, I have imported a paragraph about the "Pacific Crossing" from Wikitravel.org that was made by their User:Hitchsailing (Glenda Reed) who made the relevant edit in this diff:

wikitravel.org/wiki/en/index.php?title=Hitchhiking_boats&diff=2068806&oldid=1919048
