Ristorante Luigina[edit]

GOOD DAY, we at RISTORANTE LUIGINA have come across the review written about our Restaurant. We are not sure the source, but we are thankful for the appreciation for our cuisine. We, however, DO NOT AGREE WITH THE "SPLURGE" HEADING, and the "above $50 and $100" quote, as we feel that for an average meal (appetizer, main, dessert and glass of wine) the pricing woul be approximately $37 per person. Furthermore, this price is actually lower than the other Restaurants mentioned, even though the quality of our food, service, and anbience is higher.

Fixed, May 16 2007.

This article in a student newspaper, while dated, might be a good source for restaurants and activities. Some of what's there is off-topic here (such as province-wide grocer chains or on-campus entities like Quiet Pub which market only to Queen's students) but there are a few good suggestions. I haven't tried to do anything with this info as we already have many "eat/drink" listings; perhaps the independent booksellers and art galleries should be added as "buy" or "do". Grand Theatre is also missing. We had Toucan twice (eat and drink) so I left them under "eat" as pub-style food. K7L (talk) 03:41, 24 October 2012 (CEST)

This article is easily upgradable by unpacking some of the links and adding the addresses/phones/hours. (WT-en) OldPine 18:32, 30 March 2008 (EDT)

Quite bluntly, the "sleep" section as it currently stands is rubbish. Of the five expanded listings, two were a list of Journey's End (Comfort Inn) locations and the other three were duplicates of "Fort Henry Motel" mostly in areas (such as downtown or the 401) where they geographically do *not* belong (the motel is on Highway 2 east of the Barriefield army base and the listing itself is puffery. Friendly staff? Clean sheets? That'd be the owner's opinion of their own product, and unless we also eagerly start listing motels advertising unfriendly staff and dirty sheets as key selling points, entirely useless. Every motel has staff. Every motel has sheets. This is Barriefield, not Mogadishu.). I'd be prepared to lose a bit of sleep in Kingston to expand the few inline mentions of places that are notable (the Ambassador and Lasalle, the Fireside Inn, the waterfront hotels) but am sorely tempted to ask if a motel which expands the same listing three times should simply be removed entirely. Listings which claim to be geographically "near" absolutely everything (including the casino and Thousand Islands parkway, which belong in some other town and not Kingston) also look dodgy. When there are sufficient sleep entries, our accommodation policy allows us to do exactly that. We keep the low quality entries only until we have good alternatives. --Inas (talk) 04:54, 22 October 2012 (CEST)
I've expanded a few of the hotels which were mentioned in passing (such as the Ambassador, a conference centre near the rail station) but am unsure what to do if a property in a prominent location (city hall/waterfront) is a candidate for a "don't go". Built circa-1980, originally a member of a famous chain with 28 ice cream flavours (it has since lost that affiliation, even as the chain itself declined) and neglected until part of the parking lot collapsed in 2010: http://www.thewhig.com/2010/04/29/garage-collapses (currently omitted from this Kingston article per avoid negative reviews, but...) Disappointing as this was once at the high-end of the market, but at some point this is a safety issue. K7L (talk) 16:25, 25 October 2012 (CEST)
