Negative reviews[edit]
See Project:Avoid negative reviews and its talk page — the consensus seems to be that prominent and/or really, really bad places do deserve a mention.
For this particular case, Andalanta Resort seems like a nice place with broken telephones (are they still broken?), no room service (which is not that big a black mark in my book), and an overall opinion of "overpriced". Seems fair to me. (WT-en) Jpatokal 01:05, 5 Oct 2005 (EDT)

Hi. Trying to make Ko Lanta a Collaboration of the Month, but I'm getting an edit conflict which it tells me is due to a spam filter. I think it's trying to tell me this is due to links to thai_hyphen_tour_dot_com (I can't even type it here without having the same problem!) being identified as spam. I've gone through the article trying to delete all reference to that site but I still can't save it. Can anyone please help? Cheers. (WT-en) Tarr3n 10:14, 4 November 2008 (EST)
- Project:Local_spam_blacklist does list thai_hyphen_tour_dot_com so that will be the issue. I can still see a number of refernces to that site in the article (6 references still, I think). Does this help any? (WT-en) Nrms 10:29, 4 November 2008 (EST)
- Success. It wouldn't let me save any edits until I had removed every one of those links. So I copied it into a Word processor and used the find function to get rid of them all, then copied it back in. Now everything's hunky-dory. Thanks for your help. (WT-en) Tarr3n 10:52, 4 November 2008 (EST)

New banner[edit]
I've recently created a new panoramics of the Ba Kantiang bay on Ko Lanta. Thinking about to change the current Ko Lanta banner. - I tried using the crop tool on the image, making it 7:1, but the result is not the nice composition as it is now. So, I think the present banner is O.K. for Ko Lanta. --FredTC (talk) 13:40, 2 July 2018 (UTC)
- Why? The current panoramic is cropped already (mainly at the bottom). I have the original files available here and can provide the right one. Don't try to use the existing file on commons. - An image like you made, with someting close at the right and/or left and something far in the centre, certainly is a kind of image that I would like as a banner on Wikivoyage.
- When I try to crop your Ko Lanta image, keeping the original width of 12126 pixels, the stick with the lampions at the right side is partly cut off. When I shift the cropped area to the top this cutting off is undone, but then at the left side the shade of the trees is cut off. The cropping you did already, is to me the maximum cropping that is possible for a nice result. --FredTC (talk) 08:41, 4 July 2018 (UTC)
