Many places on the beach are now dormant. This one is closed:

Bigfoot Beach Hostel, ☎ +505 8505 1284. Part of the Big Foot empire, this place offers cheap dorm beds (US$5), camping ($3pp) and private rooms (from $15). The hostel has a pool, billiards table and serves food and drinks at the bar. Love it or hate it, travellers that stay here tend to be drinking heavily throughout the day and are generally from an un-diverse mix of home countries. (updated Jan 2016)
