Talk:Lombardian Alps and Prealps
Pagebbanners
[edit]@PrinceGloria I prefer this one. --Lkcl it (Talk) 17:58, 10 November 2014 (UTC)
- Well, I don't, graphically the current one is nicer to me, it's a splendid photo even if it does not include a lake. PrinceGloria (talk) 21:42, 10 November 2014 (UTC)
- Yes, you are right ... It seems to be more suitable with the title we have chosen, the only thing is that I don't like the the clouds. --Lkcl it (Talk) 17:56, 11 November 2014 (UTC)
- Heh, that's what makes it so appealing to me, I like the cloud-shrouded Alps, and Bergamo for that matter :) PrinceGloria (talk) 21:51, 11 November 2014 (UTC)
- I also prefer the current banner - it's a prettier photo. Ikan Kekek (talk) 22:05, 11 November 2014 (UTC)

Map?
[edit]User:Shaundd, any chance you'd be interested in making one for the region? PrinceGloria (talk) 20:59, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
- I'm very interested but silly busy with work right now so it will probably take a while to put all the bells and whistles in the map. I'll upload it in phases so there's at least something there. -Shaundd (talk) 04:30, 16 May 2015 (UTC)
- Can't tell you how happy and obliged I am! PrinceGloria (talk) 05:08, 16 May 2015 (UTC)
- The first pass is up, still need to add a bunch of roads and railroads. Cheers -Shaundd (talk) 05:44, 22 May 2015 (UTC)
- Quick question -- for the railroads, are the ones mentioned in the "Get around" section the key ones to show on the map? Thanks. -Shaundd (talk) 14:52, 23 May 2015 (UTC)
- Absolutely - and pretty much the only ones :) Don't forget about the lines to Milan though! PrinceGloria (talk) 00:26, 24 May 2015 (UTC)
- You have done a beautiful job! I want only to suggest few changings:
- Val Camonica is a Valley, so I'll remove the spot on the map. In this subregion I'll add Ponte di Legno.
- I'll add the route that connects the west bank of Lake Garda
- I'll add Livigno (if possible) and the name of the valley in Sondrio province Valtellina.
- I'll add Lake Idro
- Many thanks --Lkcl it (Talk) 11:58, 24 May 2015 (UTC)

The next version of the map is up. I think I've got all the railroads now, let me know if I missed something. There's also a road to every location now. I left some roads out though to reduce clutter -- like the road that goes by Lago d'Idro and a couple of roads that cross the Swiss border (SS37 and the highway from Tirano). Should these be included?
Hi Lkcl it, I added Lake Idro, Livigno and the road on the west side of Lake Garda. I left Val Camonica in because that's the article we have right now; if it changes in the future it'll be easy to update the map. I also left out Valtellina because we don't mention it in the article at all and it seems to cover a fairly large area that wouldn't be marked on the map since we don't have subregions. -Shaundd (talk) 21:21, 31 May 2015 (UTC)
- It's just brilliant! If I could be allowed to be nitpicky, I find the roads overlapping railroads making the latter hard to make out - how about picturing them as running side-by-side rather than over one another when they are parallel? PrinceGloria (talk) 02:41, 1 June 2015 (UTC)
- I had a feeling you were going to say something like that. :-) No worries, I'll do it. -Shaundd (talk) 03:14, 1 June 2015 (UTC)
