Modern folk costumes
[edit]I think the current phrasing is a bit confusing or misleading. As all (?) current folk costumes are modern reconstructions, the word "modern" does not clearly tell the difference between the "modern" ones and the traditional reconstructions. New examples of the latter could still be done for parishes for which there isn't enough documentation, or which for some other reason didn't get one at the time. I assume the difference is between a reconstruction and a construction. Towns didn't have folk costumes, as they were a rural thing. For provincial and national costumes, features have to be combined in a "fair" manner, which people designing their own costume wouldn't do (they'd probably just combine features according to family history, or get inspiration from costumes they liked, adjusting them to fit the local tradition). –LPfi (talk) 17:00, 30 November 2022 (UTC)
To do

- A museum. Should the context – the w:Forest Finns – be described somewhere? –LPfi (talk) 12:08, 3 August 2023 (UTC)
Long list
[edit]The Sweden part of Destinations is a long undifferentiated list. Should it be pruned or broken up? What threshold should there be for including a destination? There is a local history museum in more or less every parish village in Finland.
We now had three listings saying not much more than "An open-air museum" (I changed one, as it seemed to be misleading, and another is more wordy). I assume the listings are for important museums, but that should be seen from the descriptions.

- I would admit that I rushed through the listing of places. Each destination should of course have a description about its scope, and the services offered. For most open-air museums, they are representative of province and local culture. We can also consider to group the Sami attractions together, with a more lengthy description in Sami culture. /Yvwv (talk) 12:49, 7 December 2023 (UTC)
