How to make this a guide?

What things do I need to improve in order to get Port Fairy to Guide status? Qazzy52 (talk) 08:41, 13 June 2023 (UTC)

Hi Qazzy52, the listed criteria is on Wikivoyage:City article status. Here's a list of other Australian guide cities that you can use as a guide (though preferably one without districts, so not Canberra, Adelaide or Sydney). You may also want to use a guide district, but these do omit some sections. From a quick read:

• Many phone numbers omit the country code. This is an international travel guide, so those are a must.
• Listings need descriptions.
• There needs to be more listings (outside See/Do) – including a few places to drink.
• Longer understand section required.

You may also want to check out previously off the beaten path features for similar articles of this vein. If you look at Klaksvík (second down that list), you'll notice that there doesn't need to be many, but needs to be reasonably complete.

I realise I forgot to mention this before, but time formatting should also conform to Wikivoyage:Time and date formats. In addition, since Port Fairy is not in Italy or San Marino, we omit the leading 0 (so +61 3 XXXX XXXX, not +61 03 XXXX XXXX). SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 08:42, 18 June 2023 (UTC)

I've added a few listings and expanded the understand section as well as added descriptions to listings, so it should probably be good enough for informative now at least? If there's anything else I need to add to upgrade it to a guide, please let me know! Qazzy52 (talk) 09:57, 17 June 2023 (UTC)
