Talk:Queens/Jamaica
Add topicNeighborhoods covered by this article
[edit]I was incorrect in mentioning Jamaica Estates - most of Jamaica Estates is north of Hillside Av. and, therefore, not covered by this article. However, it looks like Hollis is included. Years ago, I used to date a woman who lived there. In those days (late 80s-early 90s!), it was a fairly quiet residential neighborhood with a pretty significant Filipino population. Is that still true? St. Albans and Cambria Heights have historically been middle-class black neighborhoods. Is South Ozone Park included? (I think it is, but the streets between the WV districts aren't all specified in the Queens districts map.) The area around Lefferts Blvd. and Liberty Av. at the end of one branch of the A line and down to Kennedy Airport is part of a huge Indo-Caribbean neighborhood.
