Manual of Style

[edit]

I have Wiki-listified many of the items on this page. Not perfect, and most don't have lat-longs or URLs yet, but will work on this more in the days to come. Can someone confirm that the current edits meet the Manual of Style? If so, I think we can remove the section about Wiki-listing at the top of the page. If not, would appreciate any pointers and help to get things up to specs in this particular page. Americannomad1776 (talk) 15:55, 10 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

The main problem I can see at a glance is many of the listings are lacking any sort of contact info. A street address and phone number are really essential, otherwise the traveller has no way of knowing where an attraction is. Similarly, a link to the place's website, email (or social media page if that's all they have) are helpful too. Personally, I think those are more important than lat and long, though the ideal listing would have all of the above.
But the donut cafe listing you added here is exactly what's needed, except for the opening hours: WV:TDF bureaucratically stipulates M, Tu, W, Th, F, Sa, and Su as the preferred abbreviations for the days of the week, so it's helpful to use that style if you can. --ThunderingTyphoons!
