New page banner[edit]

Current banner
Proposed banner

The current page banner (File:WV banner Southern Coast Sriharikota landscape.jpg) is also used by Southern Coast (Andhra Pradesh), a violation of our guidelines on page banners. Besides, the current banner is a deserted land with no interesting attractions. I think it should be replaced with a cropped version of File:GSLV F11 GSAT-7A campaign- Vehicle roll out 01.jpg, which shows a rocket and two assembly buildings, and Sriharikota is mostly about rockets and spaceflight. I will plunge forward and replace the banner if there's no comment within five days. Sbb1413 (he) (talkcontribs) 09:13, 19 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Isn't the proposed new banner too tall? How will it look after cropping? Ikan Kekek (talk) 19:01, 19 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
When I've cropped at 7:1 ratio, the resultant image shows the upper half of the rocket, along with two assembly buildings. Sbb1413 (he) (talkcontribs) 03:47, 20 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Is there any way to crop the top and bottom, so that we can see the whole rocket? Ikan Kekek (talk) 04:01, 20 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
There's no way to crop like this while maintaining a 7:1 aspect ratio. In fact, we want to inform the travellers with the banner that this is mostly about India's primary spaceport and cropping the image to show most of the rocket along with two assembly facility is just enough.
