Walls of text[edit]

Can the "Villages" and "Beaches" sections be reorganized in a more readable way? It's not clear what order they're in. Alphabetization is the obvious step, but the lists really are too long not to be separated into some kind of logical subdirectory structure. There might be a clearer focus on highlights in introductions of the "Villages" and "Other destinations" sections, too, so people with limited time know what they might choose to focus on. There should also be some thought given to the function of the "See" section: If all the beaches are covered in "Other destinations", what's left for "See"? I don't know Thasos, so these are just my reactions as a reader. I leave it to those of you who know the island better to come up with a logical way to reorganize this article. I don't know Thasos either, but looking at a map I think the villages list can be comfortably broken into a "western coast" (Skala Rahoniou to Potos) and an "eastern coast" (Thasos, the capital town, to Astrida), and then alphabetized within these subsections. Inland mountain villages can be associated with either coastal region that has easiest access to them, or can be grouped into a third subsection of "inland", but then we have to seperate the mountain communities from their harbour districts (the "skala" in the names denotes such an association) which I find a little problematic. If no one objects, I can do this some time later when I have time, together with entering the coords for the villages so they show up neatly on the map as markers. Having marked all the communities on the map, I see that the original author listed them in a clockwise fashion around the island, with the mountain villages being mentioned just above or below the coastal communities that are associated with them. I've found this kind of listing superior to alphabetizing them, especially since it's a roughly circular geography that we are talking about. Any other opinions on this?
And if we're to group the villages into subsections, I propose we divide them into three: "East" (Thasos to Kirina, 1–6 on the map), "South" (Aliki to Limenaria, 7–12, since the easiest access to Kastro [12] seems to be from Limenaria), and "West" (Skala Maries to Skala Ragoni, 13–24). This will give us roughly equal amounts of text in each subsection, although this subdividing might not be necessary at all. Vidimian (talk) 10:52, 9 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Marking them helps a lot, but I think it still might be helpful to divide them into regions. Clockwise order is fine, yes. Ikan Kekek (talk) 20:25, 9 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

They are in clockwise order (talk)
