Trojan War[edit]
Started Trojan War for Iliad & Odyssey, Aeneid, and later depictions of the war. Today's historians disagree whether there was a Trojan War at all similar to the perception of classical Greece. One way to approach the distinction between history and legend, is to describe Troy (Turkey) from a scientific point of view, and to describe the great epics in the Trojan War article. /Yvwv (talk) 13:20, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
- Agree, but the Trojan War is the cultural baggage we bring to the site, and the legend drove the excavation, so this needs to be woven into the Troy page. Sights in the wider Troy Historical National Park are now described on Geyikli page. Grahamsands (talk) 07:38, 1 June 2022 (UTC)
