Talk:Wadi Allaqi
Be aware of the local laws and customs
[edit]The Stay safe says it is important to be aware of the local laws and customs. Are there laws differing from the rest of Egypt? What local customs are important to be aware of? How are you supposed to research the area (which also is said to be important)? How do you explore the natural beauty of the place when staying in "well-lit and populated areas"?
I am deleting the Stay safe section now, see if there is something worth saving in the previous version.
Trustworthy?
[edit]Much of the description is vague, and I wonder whether this is about the wadi or about one of the oases in the wadi (and its surroundings). The article says Wadi Allaqi is an oasis, while Wikipedia says it is a wadi that begins in Sudan and has its mouth at Lake Nasser. The original author also wrote Altos de Nsork National Park, which was deleted as there was no indication of a park by that name in São Tomé and Príncipe. –LPfi (talk) 08:26, 16 January 2023 (UTC)
- Unless there's an authoritative denial from a local, we should go with the definition in Wikipedia. Ikan Kekek (talk) 09:03, 16 January 2023 (UTC)
