Texel

[edit]

The Texel island is hierarchically included in North Holland and not in Northern Netherlands, but although West Frisian Islands is under "Northern Netherlands", the Texel is included also in "West Frisian Islands".

I suggest to eliminate Texel from "West Frisian Islands" map or to change all the other articles. Andyrom75 (talk) 07:29, 7 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Texel is a West-Frisian island regardless of whether it fits into the hierarchy as such. Excluding it makes no sense, because at that point, you're not talking about the West Frisian Islands any more. The better solution is to make it an extraterritorial region that coexists alongside the Eastern and Northern Netherlands regions, and to not redact content from this article. This is also what German, Dutch and Polish Wikivoyage do to solve this problem.
