Info by country

[edit]

Whenever I travel to a (new) country I often find myself looking for info whether wild camping is permitted there, or under which conditions. How about a list of countries here (or on a separate page) with that info? Or should it go to each country's Sleep paragraph? --Anglerfisch (talk) 14:38, 9 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

I believe such information should be placed in the Sleep sections in the country articles. ϒpsilon (talk) 14:42, 9 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
Definitely. Ikan Kekek (talk) 19:43, 9 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
I checked Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Scotland and Japan, and added a mention to Norway#Sleep. What about Wales, the Alps and the rest of Asia? –LPfi (talk) 11:39, 3 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
While the information should go into country articles, I think we should mention rough tendencies. Now the Nordic countries and Japan are mentioned and linked, and the image of a tent in Scotland gives a hint for that country. We should probably have a sentence on the USA, to avoid somebody getting into trouble. I assume something general could be said also on e.g. Central and Southeast Asia. –LPfi (talk) 11:48, 3 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
