Futamatagawa question

[edit]

Thanks so much for all the content you're adding!

One question:

Right now, the Futamatagawa article's introduction states that:

"Futamatagawa is a city in Kanagawa prefecture Yokohama city,"

I don't understand. Is Futamatagawa not itself a city, but part of the city of Yokohama? Please edit this sentence so that it is clear. Thanks a lot.

All the best,

OK, now it reads "Futamatagawa is a city in Kanagawa prefecture, part of Yokohama city." But the problem is, Yokohama is not divided into separate district articles, so why is there a separate article for Futamatagawa. Also, why is Futamatagawa not linked in the Yokohama article? The only mention of Futamatagawa in the Yokohama article is in what at present is the first "Eat" listing: "Shitateya (仕立屋) (1 min from Futamatagawa Stn). Tiny local seafood eatery. Try the deep-fried oysters (kaki furai)." If Futamatagawa is actually part of Yokohama city, I think the article should be merged and redirected to Yokohoma. If not, some clearer explanation is needed in the lede for the Futamatagawa article.
Thanks, and all the best,

Well, Yokohama have 18Wards, Yokohama City specified sub CBD(副都心) on Futamatagawa. So, identically Tokyo (ex; Tokyo/Ueno or Tokyo/Toshima) to correct article Yokohama/Futamatagawa or Yokohama/asahi. How about that?

Tokyo is districted on Wikivoyage. No decision has been made so far to divide Yokohama into different district guides on this site. If you believe it would be a good idea to district Yokohoma on Wikivoyage, please state your case at Talk:Yokohama and which districts you propose would have their own articles, plus their boundaries for when a map is created.
Also, thanks for all the diligent editing you've been doing on routeboxes and such!
All the best,

I still think this article should be merged and redirected to Yokohama, until or unless a decision is made to divide the city of Yokohama into different districts on this site and create different Yokohama district articles. Ikan Kekek (talk) 11:01, 26 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Sengaku-ji: duplicated in Minato and Shinagawa

[edit]

Hi! I started a discussion in Talk:Tokyo/Minato because you copied this temple from Shinagawa to Minato, but you did not remove it from Shinagawa. Could you please respond in Talk:Tokyo/Minato? Sites should not be duplicated in several pages, so it should be removed from one of them. You seem to be from Tokyo region, so you may have an idea about the right page for this temple. Thanks — Fabimaru (talk) 17:03, 25 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Photo galleries

[edit]

Hello, 隼鷹, and thanks so much for your numerous diligent edits of articles about places in Japan! Just one small thing: Wikivoyage doesn't use photo galleries to show sights, as you can see at Wikivoyage:Image policy#Galleries and montages. Please choose some pictures you particularly like and insert them as ordinary thumbnails in the Kainan guide. And remember, people can always follow the link to Commons to see more photos if they like.

All the best,
