Hi, and welcome. This is a travel guide, not a guide to previous periods of history. If you'd like to write about the history of different regions of Pakistan, please do so by creating a "History" sub-section in "Understand." But I really don't think anyone is going to be interested in the bureaucratic details of precisely how the British used to administer different areas. The place where people would care about that would be an encyclopedia like Wikipedia.

All the best,

Hi. In the unlikely event that you're reading this: Do not make politically-motivated edits to the India guide. This is an apolitical site that recognizes all de facto conditions. It is largely immaterial to travellers that Pakistan claims the Indian-administered part of Kashmir, and that India claims the Pakistani-administered part of Kashmir. To the extent that matters, it is only due to the overlapping claims' effect on safety and basic understanding of current and recent past history. Under no circumstances will it ever affect Wikivoyage recognition of Azad Kashmir and Jammu and Kashmir as integral parts of the respective countries, because such recognition is not diplomatic and due to nothing more than an acceptance of actual facts as they exist. Thanks in advance for not making these kinds of edits in the future. Ikan Kekek (talk) 00:18, 22 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
