User talk:2A01:CB05:80:BE00:4AF8:A3B1:FF6:E1EC
Hello, 2A01:CB05:80:BE00:4AF8:A3B1:FF6:E1EC! Welcome to Wikivoyage.
To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Wikivoyage:Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub.
By the way, have you considered creating an account here? While you can absolutely keep contributing as an anonymous user, it promises a bunch of benefits, and no obligations.
I must tell you, though you probably overwrote the text by mistake, be aware that it is not OK to delete remarks on talk pages for articles unless they are obvious vandalism. Make your reply, but please try to never again delete anything on a talk page (except yours - you are allowed to delete content on your own user talk page, though it's more courteous to archive it). Thanks.
All the best,
Ikan Kekek (talk) 04:38, 5 June 2018 (UTC)
I have not deleted anyone elses postings ... but I have corrected factually incorrect things ... (and not mere subjective but objective ones) yet they have been deleted and changed ... bluntly totally stupid when anyone can look up and check that UTAH Beach is in Manche ... As to creating a user account, I've yet to see changes made not be hacked around so frankly am totally unimpressed .. and therefore not interested in a flame war... my factual changes were abused by pashley and yet I can't now correct them. Given I live here and am assisting guests and travellers I'm rather aggrieved. —The preceding comment was added by 2a01:cb05:80:be00:4af8:a3b1:ff6:e1ec (talk • contribs)
- You overwrote text in this edit - as I said, probably by mistake. The nature of all Wikis is that anyone can edit any article and will, so if you want your work to be kept in pristine condition, you would need to put it on your own blog. But it's not like you have no recourse when someone changes facts. You can post to the article's talk page (without overwriting anything) and enumerate what was changed from accurate to inaccurate.
- One request: On talk page, please sign each post by typing 4 tildes (~) in a row at the end of each post. Thanks a lot. Ikan Kekek (talk) 17:54, 5 June 2018 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an anonymous user who has not created an account yet, or who does not use it. We therefore have to use the numerical IP address to identify them. Such an IP address can be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user and feel that irrelevant comments have been directed at you, please create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users.
