Hello, 2A02:587:440B:BC8:707B:C5DE:75FF:5534! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Wikivoyage:Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub.

By the way, have you considered creating an account here? While you can absolutely keep contributing as an anonymous user, it promises a bunch of benefits, and no obligations.

One thing, though: If you don't like how Wikivoyage is treating Piraeus, the thing to do is read previous discussions at Talk:Piraeus and make an argument there, then try to persuade a consensus to agree with you. Changing references to Piraeus piecemeal in one article after another is not regular procedure on this site and likely to be reverted (undone).

All the best,

Ikan Kekek (talk) 20:29, 13 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello just describe the city which Piraeus port is.--2A02:587:440B:BC8:707B:C5DE:75FF:5534 20:35, 13 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
It's not up to me. Wikis run on consensus. Make the argument at Talk:Piraeus, as I suggested, keeping in mind that the prime directive on this site is The traveller comes first, not necessarily the government that makes decisions on how to organize their political divisions. Of course traveler comes first in wikivoyage site. Not only Piraeus is part of Athens but if you are in Athens (center, south, north, east, countryside etc) and you want to take a ferry you will move primarily to Piraeus port district (via Athens public transport system. metro line 1, 3 (from 2022), tram, public buses OSY, Proastiakos Athens or by car in less than 20 minutes). The alternative ports of Athens Rafina and Lavrio are in the outskirts of the city and you must travel by KTEL regional buses, Piraeus is the port of Athens, part of the city--2A02:587:440B:BC8:707B:C5DE:75FF:5534 21:21, 13 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Like I said, please make the argument at Talk:Piraeus, where everyone can engage in the discussion (or if you prefer, Talk:Athens). I personally don't care how we treat Piraeus, as long as I'm convinced one way or the other is most helpful to travelers, but consensus has to be reached, and it can't be reached on your user talk page. Ok but i did not change nothing these Articles wrote Athens (Piraeus port) or Piraeus the port of Athens and just add the same info in other paragraphs in these articles--2A02:587:440B:BC8:707B:C5DE:75FF:5534 21:48, 13 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

I'm just saying, don't be surprised if someone reverts this, and be prepared to address it at Talk:Piraeus or Talk:Athens. Ikan Kekek (talk) 21:58, 13 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

This is the discussion page for an anonymous user who has not created an account yet, or who does not use it. We therefore have to use the numerical IP address to identify them.
