Hello, 70.112.215.130! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Wikivoyage:Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub.

By the way, have you considered creating an account here? While you can absolutely keep contributing as an anonymous user, it promises a bunch of benefits, and no obligations.

I don't greatly care what version of English we use for countries x, y or z (other than native English-speaking countries, I guess, and some really obvious cases), but "What stands in the way of changing the variety used here" is a discussion. Wikis work on consensus, and what's really important is not whether we use British or U.S. English for articles about Germany but that we have discussions and respect consensus on Wikivoyage and don't edit war. If you edit war, regardless of the reasons for it, you disrupt a wiki, with all the possible consequences that implies. So be patient, discuss and explain, and wait for a consensus to be convinced by your argument and the evidence for it. And if despite your best efforts, you lose the argument, respect that. We all lose arguments here. Ikan Kekek (talk) 00:27, 19 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I also would note that so far, you've done nothing but try to make unilateral changes in the form of English used in articles for particular countries and areas. This is unimportant. If you want to improve this travel guide, add some content or update something. You used to live in Macau, right? Have you read through the Macau article or the articles for its districts? If not, why not do so and see if there's anything to improve? Ikan Kekek (talk) 00:36, 19 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You've been blocked for an initial period of 3 days for edit warring. We don't care what arguments you have or what names you call, as long as you are edit warring and not making your arguments on talk pages and respecting the process of discussing things and trying to reach a consensus. This is the discussion page for an anonymous user who has not created an account yet, or who does not use it. We therefore have to use the numerical IP address to identify them. Such an IP address can be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user and feel that irrelevant comments have been directed at you, please create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users.
