Hello, 80.98.132.185! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Wikivoyage:Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub.

By the way, have you considered creating an account here? While you can absolutely keep contributing as an anonymous user, it promises a bunch of benefits, and no obligations.

In relation to your edits in the Brno article, first of all, thank you. Second, please have a look at WV:Don't tout, which also covers non-obvious things like mentioning that a hotel is "close to the main tourist attractions", instead of simply providing the address and geo coordinates (latitude/longitude) and letting the reader plot the distance to attractions themselves. You also will want to look at WV:Wikivoyage and Wikitravel. Copying anything from Wikitravel, even with credit, is discouraged, but you may paraphrase with credit if need be.

Sorry if this seems nitpicky, and I hope it doesn't discourage you.

All the best,

You must stop edit warring. Did you ever read Wikivoyage:Don't tout? If you did, did you miss this bullet point?
  • Avoid assertions of proximity to nearby attractions. The description section of a listing is for describing that listing, not the rest of the town. If it's attached to the convention center or right on the pier then note that using the "directions" attribute of the listing tag, but otherwise save descriptions of the area's attractions for the "See" section. Instead, contribute detailed lat-long coordinates of the property (see Wikivoyage:Geocoding)—it will be much more helpful for a traveler choosing a place to stay.
If you edit war once more, it will be necessary to block your posting privileges. Ikan Kekek (talk) 20:26, 23 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Tourist information[edit]

Hi. Have you chosen to edit war again, this time for no apparent - nor stated - reason? Tourist information belongs in "Understand". Why? Because such offices are not usually sight in themselves, but they are places to gain information. See Wikivoyage:Where you can stick it. And if you ever revert an edit again, explain why in your edit summary. Ikan Kekek (talk) 09:03, 9 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

And another unexplained reversion here, which by deleting the geo coordinates for Bratislava Airport hurts travelers. If you make more unexplained and harmful reversions or other destructive edits, I will conclude that you are here to damage, rather than improve the guide, and will block your posting privileges without further notice. This is the discussion page for an anonymous user who has not created an account yet, or who does not use it. We therefore have to use the numerical IP address to identify them. Such an IP address can be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user and feel that irrelevant comments have been directed at you, please create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users.
