Hello, ADTelo! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. New users are also welcome to post any questions or concerns to the arrivals lounge. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here.

Thanks for your contributions to Liverpool! One thing I'm unsure of; do people refer to the Merseyrail as "the metro"? Not something I've ever heard. Let me know.--ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 09:23, 22 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

  • Not locally, but I was going for consistency with the brackets in the heading title. That said, it's not a locally used term so go ahead and change it if you think so. ADTelo (talk) 11:25, 22 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
Might be as well to - I'll take a look.
Just another thing, your additions of bar listings are helpful, but they'd be even more helpful with some contact details: a URL, phone number, street address with postcode (but excluding the word "Liverpool") etc. If you are editing via a desktop computer, it is easiest to use the listing template, as it prompts you which info is needed: either click "add listing" at the top of a section, or when in edit mode click the martini glass symbol at the top of the edit window; either of these will generate an empty 'Drink' listing, which you can then populate with info. Let me know if that doesn't make sense.--ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 12:22, 22 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
Ah brilliant, thank you - I'm still a bit new to WV so that's very helpful ADTelo (talk) 13:04, 22 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
You're not expected to know much about our conventions at first, and it can take years to get to grips with everything! The listing editor is a good one to start with, however, as it is both easier for us to use, and better for our readers. Send me a message either here or on my talk page if you need help with anything else. --ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 13:49, 22 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
