April Fools?[edit]

I was going to ask you whether this an April Fools joke, but the map seems to indicate otherwise. Why is the name "Rio Grande" on the page, and why would a traveler be interested in this "isolated town"? If it is an April Fools joke, it should be deleted ASAP. Time travel is the joke article today. Ikan Kekek (talk) 21:02, 1 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Ikan Kekek

No, New England, Ohio is not a joke. In response to your question, "Why would a traveler be interested in this 'isolated town'?", it has a lot of history. A railroad was once routed through it. It has a grid pattern of streets that is slowly becoming overgrown. It is interesting to the history man and outdoor explorer.

In response to, "Why is the name "Rio Grande" on the page?", I was in a rush to do the page because I had to go somewhere. I was fiddling around with the map to see if I could get it to the right coordinates, but it kept taking me to Greenwich, England.

Appeal...[edit]

First off - how do you appeal a block here on Wikivoyage?

Here's my appeal, anyways.

@User:Wrh2

When I first started off here, it was my first time here (On this account... never edited on any other account). I didn't read the policy, which was obviously a mistake. I didn't know that there was such a thing as page creation vandalism (PCV) or anything like that. I added small towns to Wikivoyage, figuring that if it existed, it deserved a spot here. Later on, after all of the Iditarod Trail edits and such, I quit (after I was discovered on Wikipedia). Today, I decided to come back, thinking that Bayard, Florida deserved an article, seeing all of the shops it has on U.S. Route 1. It was redirected - which had happened before, I wasn't surprised - until I went to copy the source to put it on a user subpage (to create it, over time, and maybe eventually get it published on the mainspace). Then I discovered that my account had been blocked here. I searched for appeal templates and such, so I just did what I figured - I had seen that if your username was mentioned on Wikipedia, you'd get a notification - so I took that route. I mentioned your name here just so you might see this, and maybe respond to discuss the block? After all, I definitely learned my lesson on Wikipedia, and I really do not want to be blocked again.--AlaskaArticleEditor315 (talk) 16:51, 14 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please convince Wikipedia to revoke your indefinite block, after which it would be appropriate to revoke it here as well. -- Ryan • (talk) • 16:59, 14 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, that might (they mightn't unblock me due to my account jumping) be another few months, but my appeal still stands. I hope that I am unblocked there, and here, I ask one question now: Am I allowed to do the draft here on my talk or should I stay off completely or how should I go about this?--AlaskaArticleEditor315 (talk) 17:17, 14 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
