Hello Dinner Jacketed Individual! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page.

If you are a Wikipedian then you may notice some differences in policies and the style of our articles. These include:

It may also be very useful for you to check out Wikivoyage:Welcome, Wikipedians. If you need help, take a look at Wikivoyage:Help, or else post a message in the travellers' pub or on my talk page. Thanks for contributing!

Your enthusiasm is appreciated, but please make sure you read some policy pages like Wikivoyage:Be fair before you get too ambitious about starting new pages like the one you started on "unrecognized states", which I've proposed deleting. I also think that unilaterally changing the names of regions is taking Wikivoyage:Plunge forward a little far, and it would have been better to start a thread on the relevant talk page with a proposal to change the region name and wait until a consensus was reached before taking action. Adding or updating information to destination articles is much less likely to provoke any kind of controversy. But that's OK, and please do keep editing, because sometimes, we really need new viewpoints to revitalize the site and help us see things in a different way.

Thanks again and all the best,

I undid the move of Western DRC to Congo Pedicle, for the reasons given by user:Ikan Kekek and also because the Congo Pedicle is a completely different region (it's in the east of the DRC). Have you ever edited Wikivoyage under a different account name? --ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 09:04, 5 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You're not allowed to edit others' comments, and deleting "Have you ever edited Wikivoyage under a different account name?" clearly indicates that you have, so you'd better come clean, as we're going to watch carefully to see just which user you are a sockpuppet of - probably a banned user.
