Hello Dr. British12! Welcome to Wikivoyage.
To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page.
If you are a Wikipedian then you may notice some differences in policies and the style of our articles. These include:
- NPOV → be fair (not quite the same thing!)
- be bold → plunge forward
- Village pump → travellers' pub
- External links → We do not use a separate external links section, but incorporate primary links only into the text itself.
- sandbox → graffiti wall
- stub notes → Article status notes
It may also be very useful for you to check out Wikivoyage:Welcome, Wikipedians. If you need help, take a look at Wikivoyage:Help, or else post a message in the travellers' pub or on my talk page. Thanks for contributing!
I've deleted your Kanji article per Wikivoyage:What is an article?, because it is not travel-related. Any information about Kanji belongs in Japanese phrasebook, if it isn't already there.

- In addition, please avoid copying and pasting large swathes of text from Wikipedia, especially if you don't credit the source. I've also deleted your copy-and-paste Hiragana article. Hi, Dr. British12. I don't believe we've met before, so welcome to Wikivoyage :-)
I removed your recent contributions to Welwyn Garden City because they didn't seem to add anything to the article in the context of a travel guide. You're very welcome to contribute to Wikivoyage, and I have been particularly admiring your apparent encyclopaedic knowledge of public transport, but try to keep in mind what this site is for and who it is aimed at, as well as our manual of style. If it would help you at all, we've got detailed templates for every kind of article, which explain what you should and shouldn't include in each section, as well as what order to put everything in.
