Hello, NYtofu! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. New users are also welcome to post any questions or concerns to the arrivals lounge. If you want some practice editing, please do so on our graffiti wall. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here. If you want to contribute with information about the place where you live, see Wikivoyage:Welcome, locals.

Thanks for updating the article about the East Village! If you can recommend any additional bars and restaurants around here, please do (I may add a few more at some point). Also, Manhattan/Lower East Side needs more listings, partly because I avoid going to bars with huge crowds of young people, so we need a young person who frequents them to add listings that are useful for other young people visiting the city. Maybe that would be you!

All the best,

Hi Ikan!
Thanks for all the information and the warm welcome! Quite frankly, I didn't want to add anything to the article since I'm not confident in my adaptiveness to Wikivoyage's tone, but I've just found the Wikivoyage:Tone article and am going to read up on it.
I'll be happy to add new listings to the East Village article, as I've lived here my whole life. Some restaurants/cafes I think might be good to list (that aren't listed already) are Vegan Grill (58 Saint Marks), Physical Graffitea (96 Saint Marks), Spicy Moon (328 E 6th St), upstate craft beer & oyster bar (95 1st Ave.), and Paul's Da Burger Joint (131 2nd Ave). I'd be happy to know your opinion on adding these.
As for bars, I'm actually not of drinking age yet, so I can't really say. Maybe upstate craft beer & oyster bar or MONO+MONO might be applicable, but, again, I can't really say!
Sincerely,
