Hi Ikan and thanks for the greeting. I'll admit I skimmed over some of the rules. I did try to read them, but then I got to the "dive in" part, so I did. :)

Yes, this is definitely the correct place to respond. I think it's great that you plunged forward! I don't think any of us would like for new users to feel paralyzed by not yet being up on the rules and guidelines, as none of us were when we joined, either. I'd like to echo Ikan Kekek's welcome and advice. Your contributions are more important than following rules and guidelines at this point. Most of us learn by making mistakes. I find that people need a lot of "how" information for travel, as much as "where" information, so you will probably find that my contributions focus on how to sort out your itinerary (probably because I find that's the difficult bit). Coquitlam

If you don't mind, I have a couple of minor questions about this edit: What did you mean by Do: " * Poirier Recreation Centre also provides"? What does it provide? Did your comment get cut off mid-paragraph? Unfortunately, I'm from Onterrible and don't know Coquitlam well enough to fix the listing. Also, the edit summary accuses earlier contributors of "editorializing" as if that were a bad thing. Wikivoyage is not Wikipedia and its perfectly OK to express travel opinions or present first-hand information, just so long as those opinions are fair, serve the voyager and are not self-promotional. A statement that "Anyville's AnyBus service is useless to anyone but commuters" is less valuable than "Anyville's AnyBus provides one-way commuter service to BigCity in weekday peak hours and nothing at all off-peak or on weekends; the voyager may try X, Y or Z as alternatives..." but there is no requirement that Wikivoyagers remain neutral. --Whoops, I'll look at the Poirier reference. I just saw that one pool was mentioned, so I thought I should add the other. -- Ok, not necessary to be neutral, check. However, when the comment is essentially "there's nothing here and there's no point in going", well, I'd say that's in the eye of the beholder. I prefer to list facts in terms of what is here, and then the reader is in a position to decide if its something they want to spend time on or not. I thought the editorializing was not helpful to planning. Travelers may have a range of reasons for visiting a location that have nothing to do with tourism, but once they are there, well, they may be interested in playing tourist as well. Saying that there's nothing to see doesn't help these people who may be visiting family or in the area for business or educational reasons. It makes more sense to list options. Maybe its not enough to draw you to Coquitlam if you are in Vancouver for example, but if you don't have the information, you can't decide for yourself.
