Maumee is a city in Ohio Erie shore west, and a suburb of Toledo, Ohio.

[edit]The Ohio Turnpike has an exit in Maumee, going west to Indiana, and east to Cleveland and Pennsylvania.
I475/US23 runs along the western border of Maumee.
US 24/Anthony Wayne Trail passes through Maumee.

[edit]- 1 Hull–Wolcott House Museum Complex, 1035 River Rd, ☏ +1-419-893-9602. Preserves a selection of buildings and artifacts from the 1800s including several houses, a church, a train depot and caboose.
- 2 Fallen Timbers Battlefield and Fort Miamis. The site of the decisive battle which ended the Northwest Indian War in 1794. After the War of 1812, the British Fort Miamis was abandoned and destroyed, though earthworks from the fort still exist. The American Fort Meigs from the same period still stands just across the river in Perrysburg.

- 2 Side Cut Metropark, 1025 W River Rd. 7AM-night. Named for being a former Side Cut on the Ohio and Erie Canal, this riverside park has locks preserved from the canal, as well as picnic shleters, wildlife feeding and viewing areas, and other amenities. Free.
- 3 Lucas County Recreation Center, 2901 Key St. This entertainment complex hosts the Lucas County Fair as well as the USHA National Three Wall Handball Championships. Built on the site of the former Maumee Downs, the center operates as a public park when not being used as an event venue.
