Forsyth is a town in Southeastern Montana.

Forsyth Montana is the county seat of Rosebud County, located on the Yellowstone Rivier.

Get in

Forsyth is located on Interstate 94 and is served by two exits, #93 and #95. There are no commercial flights, or passenger trains servicing Forsyth. There is bus service by Rimrock Stages. The nearest large city with a commercial airport is Billings, Montana.

Get around

There is no taxi service for Forsyth. You should have your own car / motorcycle, or rental to get around.

  • County Courthouse
  • Rosebud-Treasure County Fair, held the third weekend in July, features name entertainment, carnival, exhibits, "fair food" and free entertainment. Admission to the grounds and parking are free. Evening performance tickets range from $10 to $30.
  • Downtown Historic District, featuring several buildings constructed before 1930. Several local residences are on the National Register of Historic Places as well. The city website has listings of historic properties.
  • Bob Watts Murals - a growing collection of large murals on the sides of various local buildings, all by resident artist Bob Watts.
