Logansport is a small city in Northern Indiana. It was named after a Shawnee warrior named James Logan, or Captain Logan. It was a center for both canal and rail traffic since its founding in 1826, and commands a prominent location at the confluence of the Eel and Wabash Rivers.

Various buildings represent times in history - one room school house log cabin, carriage house, etc. The museum has thousands of historical artifacts from the area covering all periods of time in its Victorian surroundings.

  • 1 France Park, 4505 US-24, +1 574 753-2928. Tent sites and cabin rentals. France Park is also a popular destination for day trips ($5 admission as of 2022), with a swimming beach and a SCUBA diving rental center at a former limestone quarry, and many forest trails. $45 for cabin.
