Loutraki is a seaside resort and spa town in the Corinth Region of the Peloponnese.

The ancient town – Thermae today called Loutraki, is located on the north side of the Corinthian Gulf and it's extended on the foot of the Gerania mountain range, along a pebbled beach of 4 km.

Loutraki Beach

Loutraki is only 80 km or one hour away from Athens. Suburban trains, known in Greek as "Proastiako" run hourly from Athens International Airport to the nearby Corinth City.

Inside the monastery of St Patapius (Osios Patapios)
  • 1 Folk Museum, central square.
  • 2 Osios Patapios Monastery. 10 km away on Geraneia mountain. It can be reached by foot via an unmarked dirt trail that leads up from the Loutraki town center, or by car. There are no signs along the trails, although there are red dots spray painted on rocks throughout the trails to keep hikers on track. Long trousers are required. The shrine of Saint Patapios, where the relics of the Egyptian saint are kept, is located in a cave in the monastery complex. From the monastery, a trail continues up to the Monastery of St. Paul the Apostle, and then further up to the top of Geraneia mountain. Caution: There is no clear trail after the Monastery of St. Paul the Apostle, and it can be very easy to get lost among the rocks and pine forests at the top of the mountain. Be sure to use GPS.
