Maumee is a city in Ohio Erie shore west, and a suburb of Toledo, Ohio.

Maumee was established as a frontier trading post to deliver goods shipped from Lake Erie to west bound communities. Due to this, Maumee has a rich history.

The Ohio Turnpike has an exit in Maumee, going west to Indiana, and east to Cleveland and Pennsylvania.

I475/US23 runs along the western border of Maumee.

US 24/Anthony Wayne Trail passes through Maumee.

  • 2 Fallen Timbers Battlefield and Fort Miamis. The site of the decisive battle which ended the Northwest Indian War in 1794.
