Hwaseong (화성,華城) is in Gyeonggi province in South Korea.

Hwaseong is located in the southwestern part of Gyeonggi-do. The western region is predominantly rural and the eastern region is predominantly urban. Hwaseong City Hall is located in Namyang-eup. Jebudo island is part of Hwaseong.

  • 3 Yamok Station (Suin-Bundang Line) (야목역), Bonomaesong-ro, 286.
  • Seodongtan Station (Line 1) (서동탄역), Oesammi-ro 15beon-gil, 75-60 lat= 37.1957. Although Seodongtan Station is not in Hwaseong, it will be helpful as a reference because it is close to Hwaseong and was built by Hwaseong City.

It is a place loved by people who take a walk or hike because of the beautiful scenery.

  • 3 Yongjusa (용주사), 136 Yongju-ro, +82 31-234-0040. 24 hours. Historic Buddhist temple with an elaborate, colorful interior, storied bells & tranquil grounds.
