This county was established in 1817 of July as a part of organizing Michigan's L.P. region after the War of 1812 (most notably after the River Raisin Rallying Cry, of course).
Lake Erie Transit is a safe-and-sane avenue for those who don't have a car (or who don't intend to drive at all).

- Christmas in Ida. A community based event in the community of Ida, located between Monroe, Dundee and Temperance.
