Paschim Medinipur or West Midnapore (পশ্চিম মেদিনীপুর Poshchim Medinīpur) is a district of West Bengal. It was once a part of Midnapore district until 2003, which got split into two districts: Paschim Medinipur and Purba Medinipur.
