The boxes in "get in" and "get around"[edit]

I don't know; I'm not sold on 'em. What say ye? Hobbitschuster (talk) 23:47, 15 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Me neither. They get in the way of the travel guide. If they were at the bottom of the article, I wouldn't care, but where they are turns it into a bus and rail timetable without the times. Not very useful. Similarly, I've removed listing that provided no information. I haven't decided what to do about the ones that only provide links. If they're templated correctly, we might be able to fill in some of the fields with the info from the website. Hobbitschuster (talk) 18:39, 17 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
That would be my inclination, I guess, too. If someone has time, the link gives them a headstart. The downside is that we don't want a WV page to just send people to other sites. Ground Zero (talk) 20:26, 17 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
See my last few edits to see what I mean. Hobbitschuster (talk) 20:34, 17 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I love the listing templates, but the templates on their own don't do any to improve the usefulness of WV for travellers. In the end, it is only the information that does that. It is odd that people slap "style" tags on articles that don't use templates when the real issue is that listings lack information. A listing that has information in free-floating text is much more useful that a name-and-website in a template. Ground Zero (talk) 23:25, 17 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but correctly templated listings are much easier to update and are updated much more. Hobbitschuster (talk) 00:50, 18 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
