A friend went to the Canadian Royal Military College & they were visited by cadets from the corresponding US institution, West Point. He said that the American cadets told him that when they studied cavalry tactics (now applicable for tanks), the course went all the way back to Alexander but no American generals before Patton were considered worth studying. It wasn't Canada. It was West Point instructors who decided that, at least for cavalry tactics, no US generals in any war from the revolution to WW I were worth studying. Pashley (talk) 23:20, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
